Tatsuro Horikawa has been my favourite designer since… well since I became interested in clothing. It’s hard for me to give an impartial review because I love most everything he does. That being said this year was magnificent. It’s great to see him develop his collection year to year. He’s really refining himself and that is evident in this collection. It’s a much cleaner julius style, a lot less distressing and damage and as many have pointed out seemingly less of a military influence. I’m glad he was able to still retain that aggressive feel many of his garments have. All in all though I had high expectations and they were fulfilled.

it was not intentional that I posted the same look twice, heh.

Givenchy Fall Winter 2012-13.

Riccardo Tisci has found a perfect balance after few years on the head of Givenchy and now that he has the balance and the total confidence present a collection called by Tisci him self “American Dream”.

Like an hour ago I was reading the Tim Blanks note for style.com, where Tim was talking about two obsessions of the childhood of Riccardo were the American flag and the minotaur; both was very present on his show today, the stars of the flag were in shirts, sweater, skirts and jackets, of course the minotaur item was in all the models with the golden nose ring and the gladiator skirts; beyond of these two obsessions the main point for me is the juxtaposition between the tailoring work and the sportwear, giving us as a result a tailored gladiator.
